Our client is looking for a Project Manager - Property

This contractual position requires candidate to have baseline security clearance

These roles may require a standard pre-employment health assessment.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the National Property Advisor, the Project Manager, Property will be responsible for providing project management services to client on behalf of the National Property Advisor, for the fit-outs required within client’s Property portfolio.

People who are successful in this position must have the following pre-requisites:

• Experience in delivering fit-out projects, programmes and complex activities utilising standard project templates, processes and reporting practices

• Demonstrated advanced stakeholder engagement and communication practises and planning approaches

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

• Demonstrated benefits management practices and analysis capabilities

• Demonstrated portfolio management and investment management experience

• Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes in a timely manner when dealing with complex issues.

• Qualifications in Project Management

• Qualifications in portfolio and program management is desirable but not essential

• Financial literacy in project, program and portfolio contexts

• Demonstrated portfolio management experience, including trend analysis, and understanding of the investment cycle in a government context

• Familiarity and competency with project, program and portfolio management software tools would be advantageous

Required Capabilities

• Project manage the client’s fit-outs for the Property Team, within restricted timeframes.

• Report all aspects of projects through the National Property Advisor

• Document and manage the project providing both reports and financial management within client’s budgets, procurement procedures and policies

• Provide strategic overview of all projects and interdependencies, and report areas of concern to management via the National Property Advisor

• Assist and guide other staff within the Property team in achieving the property team project outcomes including backfilling on other projects when necessary.
