Your new company
Hays are working with an exciting, dynamic new brand in the Melbourne property development market. Formed out of a number of high profile Melbourne property figures and investors, this group are well backed by local investment. The true definition of boutique, this business is in it's early stages with minimal headcount but the growth plans are aggressive, to match their already impressive, diverse project pipeline. There is an emphasis on design with their developments and their projects already receiving local recognition as they partner with the market's best consultants.
Your new role
Your position is to provide support to the Development Director across the whole development cycle. The beauty of working within in a smaller private business is that you will gain exposure across all aspects of the project depending on where they are at - you will need to learn quickly. Updating feasibility models, attending council meetings, attending PCG meetings and sales and marketing co-ordination could be a few of the responsibilities you are tasked with.
What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for someone who is strong with the financial side to the role, good with numbers. You will be creating and updating feasibility models for the live projects - whether your exposure is on Estate Master or excel isn't an issue. My client is interested to see candidates who have come through a good property development education - if you have come through one of the tier one property group's graduate programmes that will be looked upon favourably. They would also like a candidate who has an eye for design and good attention to detail, given the nature of some of their projects.
