The Opportunity

Due to unprecedented growth in all parts of our business, an opportunity has become available for a Leasing Executive to join Peregrine Corporation’s property department in Adelaide. The Peregrine Property team currently comprises eight property professionals responsible for new property acquisitions, asset and property management, leasing, projects and development and facilities management.

Peregrine Property has a large and diverse commercial property portfolio which includes high-rise office buildings, retail centres, car park stations, residential properties, industrial premises and development sites. These property holdings are in addition to our 130 or so company owned fuel and convenience sites. We are constantly acquiring new property and reviewing, reinvesting in and developing our existing properties.

In addition to the organisation’s property holdings, Peregrine Property is also a property service provider for the Smokemart & Giftbox business which has in excess of 130 retail stores across the country and is continuing to expand rapidly.

The Leasing Executive will work closely with the leasing team, both in a retail tenant capacity and that of landlord for company owned assets.  The Leasing Executive will also have the opportunity to work alongside fellow team members in a number of property related activities.

The Leasing Executive’s Key Responsibilities will include:

• Negotiation of key commercial and other terms for company owned assets including office, retail and industrial;
• High level document management for all leasing activity;
• Provision of property related assistance to Smokemart & Giftbox operational team;
• Management of External Service Providers including leasing agents and lawyers

The Leasing Executive will work alongside the property team in all of these tasks and will report directly to the Head of Leasing.

What we are looking for

The Leasing Executive will be looking to develop their existing skills by learning from our experienced Head of Leasing and ideally you will have a background in a property environment, either in leasing or property management.

The Leasing Executive will be driven with a hunger to succeed, and relish working in a fast and varied team environment. The successful candidate will also have:

• Strong negotiation skills;
• Qualifications and/or specialist knowledge in a property related field would be advantageous
• A passion for working in a dynamic team environment
• Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing and fast paced environment
• An open attitude to embrace any challenge as it arises
• Initiative, drive and self-motivation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Strong abilities with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
