This is one of the MOST exciting opportunities available in the market. Our client is a tech business transforming the way residential property management works from the ground up!

This is a new business in the Australian landscape. The two co-founders have relocated here from the Silicon Valley. One was the Global Head of Product Management for Uber; the other was a Principal on Google's Global Business Strategy Team. Together they've developed unique technology which changes the way property management is done and makes it a better, more transparent and efficient experience for the landlord, tenant and property manager - so everyone wins!

The next key recruit in this business is a real estate property management expert to partner with them and bring their high level property management expertise to the business. You will bring all of your industry knowledge and assist in creating a property management service for today’s world that truly delights people.

The Position

Initially, you will be responsible for a core portfolio of property management. However, unlike your average property management agency, they want you to evolve beyond a property manager. That’s why they’re rebuilding the processes from the ground up to create a better experience for owners, tenants and agents. Whilst initially performing day-to-day property management tasks, you will be guided towards becoming an Operations Manager. You’ll also be helping create and refine their technology so that these mundane tasks are done away with entirely and you can focus on maintaining great relationships with owners and tenants.

In this Operations position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of a clean and tidy portfolio of approx. 150 properties
  • Maintaining relationships with landlords/tenants
  • Arranging repairs and maintenance
  • Complete in going, routine and outgoing residential premises condition reports
  • Leasing vacant properties, including open homes
  • Reviewing leases and updating rent
  • Rental bond management and tribunal attendance as necessary

The Person

In this Operations position you will need the following skill set:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Property Manager
  • A love of technology - you must appreciate what it means for a technology product to be great
  • Desire for change - we want you to challenge the status quo because this is not a typical real estate business
  • Customer-focused mindset - you believe that the most important thing is making sure that customers are happy
  • Be prepared to get your hands dirty and have a strong work ethic
  • A Current NSW Certificate of Registration or Real Estate License
  • A reliable vehicle and drivers licence is a must
  • Familiarity with cloud-based trust accounting systems, ideally PropertyMe
