About the role
Unison’s Head Leasing Programs aim to address the shortage of long term housing for people experiencing homelessness. These programs are targeted to assist those who are currently rough sleeping or have a history of chronic or episodic rough sleeping, exiting or having recently left institutional care, or individuals and families living in temporary or unsuitable accommodation including unregistered rooming houses, crisis accommodation and transitional housing.
The main responsibilities of the Private Rental Head Lease Worker are Relationships/Networking, Property and Tenancy Management, Administration and Data Collection and Reporting.
The worker will be required to travel to the two main sites at Seddon and Werribee and reports to Team Leader - Private Rental Access.
About you
To fill this position, we are seeking staff who:
- Have qualifications or experience in the Housing or Real Estate sector and knowledge and understanding of Residential Tenancies Act.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working effectively and sensitively with a broad range of clients, including those with high support needs and challenging behaviours.
- Assisted with the coordination of exciting and innovative head leasing programs.
- Is positive, committed, good communicator, well organised, pro-active, person centred.
- Has high level communication skills – including verbal and written communication and well-developed computer skills – word processing, excel, data-bases.
On Offer
- Full-time, fixed term for 12 months
- Salary $82,238 salary package (approximate) including super, salary packaging, 17.5% leave loading
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Rostered day off option
