About the position
The main purpose of the Projects Director role is to manage the successful delivery of complex residential projects safely, within program, within budget and to high-quality utilizing a team of internal and external team members in-line with the Oliver Hume Gateway governance framework.
The duties of this role will include but are not limited to the following:
- Progress approved concept designs through to town planning including any updates to project feasibilities and associated management reporting.
- Develop briefs, review tenders and appoint, direct and control external consultants and manage the quality of deliverables and budgets.
- Prepare and execute agreed planning approval strategy and coordinate the processes necessary
- Progress the detailed design of projects including detailed briefs to ensure that the project specification aligns with the target market and expected revenue.
- Ensure project feasibilities are founded upon quality and comprehensive financial and timing inputs with suitable sensitivity and thorough risk analysis.
- Manage project budgets and timing to approved project feasibility
- Brief and lead the direction of all marketing activities
- Prepare, negotiate and manage consultant appointments, construction contracts, contracts of sale and other legal documentation as required to complete projects

About the person
We are looking for a candidate who encompasses the below
- At least 10 years’ experience in leading residential projects
- Tertiary qualifications in architecture, engineering, planning, construction, property or related areas
- Strong communication skills
- A team player with the ability to forge positive relationships across a number of internal business units
- Understanding of the property market at both a macro and micro level across Melbourne.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Estate Master
- Ability to address changing and competing priorities.
- Demonstrate initiative and accepts responsibility
