A highly experienced OC Manager is required to manage a premium portfolio consisting of 500+ lot assets
Your new company
Our client is is a boutique Owners Corporation agency located in the inner suburbs of the CBD. They are well known for having a high end portfolio of new residential and commercial properties. This agency goes beyond just managing OC's, they partner with the top developers providing best practice advice through the construction process and assist in establishing the OC. Due to exponential grow they are looking to add a Senior Owners Corporation Manager to look after a recently acquired portfolio consisting of 7 large properties.
Your new role
In your new job while managing 7 properties (1,800 lots) with a dedicated assistant, you will establish and maintain effective reporting relationships with relevant Owners Corporations. You will also provide services as mentioned below:
- Managing the financial accounts of the Owners Corporation
- Looking after insurance matters
- Assist developers in establishing the OC
- Advise developers on best practice during construction
- Corresponding with key stakeholders such as owners, contractors, and other 3rd parties
- Drawing up proposed new budgets each financial year
- Organising the AGM, and sending out related notices, nominations etc
- Chairing the AGM, and issuing the Minutes following the meeting
- Attending to the calling of any EGM
- Managing Committee issues, including calling of Committee Meetings and issuing Minutes of those meetings
- Advising owners on matters of Body Corporate law and procedure and
- Managing any dispute and resolutions that may arise
What you'll need to succeed
A positive attitude with a passion for the industry and willing to take on complex matters will be of paramount importance.
You will also require the following:
- Minimum 5 years industry experience is desirable
- Demonstrated experience managing 400+ properties
- Knowledge of the Owners Corporation Statutory Act
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
- Experience in attending VCAT
- Proven ability in chairing Owners Corporation meetings
- Experience with managing building defects
- Proven experience managing high end portfolios
- Understanding of reading subdivision plans is desirable
