Your new role
As the OC Manager you will establish and maintain effective reporting relationships with relevant Owners Corporations, while managing a diverse portfolio that will be tailored to suit and challenge your experience You will also provide services as mentioned below:

  • Managing the financial accounts of the Owners Corporation
  • Looking after insurance matters
  • Corresponding with key stakeholders such as owners, contractors, and other 3rd parties
  • Drawing up proposed new budgets each financial year in collaboration with accounts team
  • Organising AGM's, and sending out related notices, nominations etc
  • Chairing AGM's and issuing the Minutes following the meeting
  • Attending to the calling of any EGM
  • Managing Committee issues, including calling of Committee Meetings and issuing Minutes of those meetings
  • Advising owners on matters of Owners Corporation law and procedure
  • Manage and resolve any disputes that may arise
  • Liaising with key developers on OC matters through the construction stage

What you'll need to succeed
A hard work ethic with a strong focus on exceeding client expectations on customer service will be key to your success within the business. An exceptional level of drive, determination and passion for the industry are characteristics, which will set you apart from other candidates. You will also be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of the Owners Corporation Statutory Act
  • Attention to detail & accuracy
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Experience in attending VCAT
  • Proven ability in chairing Owners Corporation meetings/AGM's
  • Experience with managing building defects
  • Proven experience managing medium to large OC's is desirable (50 - 400+ lots)
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in setting up and managing budgets
  • Current drivers licence and vehicle is essential
