The role
As a primary point of contact for all Online, Office & Retail business initiatives of Coles Property, this fast paced role exists to maximise shareholder value from all property activities and manage 3rd party agents and suppliers to meet the network strategy implementation.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- a property related tertiary qualification or related discipline (eg. Property / business valuation, law, commerce, architecture, building / project management etc.)
- a full understanding of financials in determining the viability & risk profile of each property project
- proven knowledge of building, management and planning concepts relevant to Online, Office & Special Projects
- the ability to negotiate and interpret complex contracts & agreements.
- Strong Stakeholder management experience
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- fully understand key objectives and strategies of the Online, Office & Retail property network plan
- identify, negotiate, secure and obtain management and board approvals for new & replacement facilities in accordance with business strategy and property network plan
- negotiate lease extensions or early surrenders in accordance with business strategy and the property network plan
- implement strategies to secure locations where lease tenure is at risk
- finalise and arrange execution of agreement for lease for all leasehold transactions in a timely manner
- monitor progress of delivery of nominated targets
- perform all tasks with a sense of purpose and act with urgency at all times
- manage and report on critical timelines
- monitor and report on all competitor activity
