The opportunity

 

As a member of the Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs team, the Asset Communications Manager supports external communications that relate to the operation of the Group’s Retail, Office and Logistics assets.

 

The key responsibilities of your role will be;

 

Asset Level Communications

  • Manage proactive local and metropolitan media communications generated by the Retail, Office and Logistics assets.
  • Provide on-call response to media issues that arise, including emergency/crisis call line support to asset teams.
  • Create, review and implement asset communications protocols and plans.
  • Manage media training requirements for key asset-level personnel.

 

Retail Centre Communications

  • Assist centre teams in responding to media, including feedback on social media.
  • Working with Investor Relations and Group Media Manager to ensure consistency of communications.
  • Promote and manage awareness of media protocols (and sign-off process for media comment) across the business and with key service providers (e.g. external PR Agencies).

 

Corporate Communications

  • Communications planning (in conjunction with the Group Media Manager) for asset-level activities, including developments.
  • Contribute to Group internal (e.g. intranet) / external (e.g. Group website, blog) communications by providing content from Retail and Office and Logistics.
  • Assist with the production of Retail asset award submissions through review and editing of content where required.
  • Assist with the organisation and delivery of the Annual Retailer dinner


Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

 

  • 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with and managing media/journalists.
  • Ability to identify key priorities and timelines, and deliver outcomes in accordance with these.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to establish relationships with all key business stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
