This award-winning Investment group have a mandate for expansion in Brisbane; with some 20 major assets in Australia and continued forecast growth, they are seeking a senior retail property asset manager and an associate to head their asset management function based in the Brisbane head office, two roles are available.

Your responsibilities will be to cost-effective manage the due-diligence and process of all existing assets, as well-as fund-setting for new acquisitions. In this busy but highly-rewarding role you will be exercising options, reviewing asset strategy plans and setting strategy for maximum returns.

To be successful in this role you'll have a strong understanding of all property legislation and a detailed knowledge of retail property. It is also considered essential that you will be highly organised, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain required records and reports with excellent levels of verbal and written communication.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Working closely with the broader leadership team both here and overseas; managing the due-diligence, risk, mitigation and financial feasibility matters.
• Formulate and implement tactical strategies to drive asset performance.
• Preparation and review of asset plans, and the income and expenditure budgets including budget assumptions, variance summaries and control of cash-flow.
• Management of stakeholders for property maintenance issues, insurance and tax documentation.
• Produce proposals for the management approval of new assets for all real estate matters.
• Work with the marketing team with the development and delivery of the marketing and leasing plan including A&P programme and casual leasing income opportunities.
• Overseeing operational matters including, but not limited to, ensuring all rental and other charges are billed and paid in accordance with contract requirements.
• Managing the debtor process and customer feedback / complaints, managing the retail / office tenancy delivery process for smooth transition of any new tenancies, and ensuring all relevant codes, legislation, contract lease terms are observed by the relevant parties.
• To provide expertise and advice to the business in all property related matters, including making recommendations and taking action as issues arise. 
• Determine and further improve on appropriate frameworks, processes and standards to be applied on the management of the portfolio while ensuring compliance with sound financial, legal and commercial principles;

The Ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience;

• Minimum of five to ten years' experience in retail property (shopping centres), or development, ideally on the client side
• Have solid tertiary education, either a Bachelor Of Property Economics, or a related field demonstrating proven commercial acumen.
• Knowledge of local and national real estate connections with established and effective working relationships,
• The ability to prepare and present written reports to the state and national management team for real estate matters and a solid understanding of I.T programs including Word and Excel.
• A highly-effective communicator with a passion for market intelligence and a team-driven mindset.
• Two roles are available, one being senior, the other at a more junior level.
