Our client is a global and high-profile organisation with an outstanding reputation for their successful business model. With continued expansion and growth throughout Australia, they seek to appoint an experienced Senior Retail Development Manager to manage the development team in the acquisitions and delivery of new sites throughout NSDW.
Working as part of the national development team and reporting into the Head of Property for NSW, you will be responsible for sourcing and identifying potential freehold and leasehold sites for property development and/or leasing opportunities. Maximising your knowledge and research throughout the NSW region, you will liaise extensively with industry contacts, networks and agencies to source potential on-market and off-market opportunities for expansion. Key duties will include:
- Sourcing and identifying freehold and leasehold sites
- Undertaking detailed feasibility analysis of potential development sites
- Preparation of business case proposals and presentation
- Risk analysis
- Undertaking negotiations of acquisitions
- Managing the approvals processes and development management of projects
- Extensive stakeholder engagement and liaison with clients, associated authorities, consultants and contractors
Holding relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum 5+ years' experience within the retail and/or commercial property market, you will possess a strong understanding and knowledge of land values and development of retail/commercial projects. Displaying excellent communication and relationship building skills, you will have an extensive network of contacts throughout the industry to draw from.
