Property Officer job within a Local Council located near Melbourne’s CBD. Immediate start available.
Your new company
A Local Council located in the Melbourne’s South East is seeking a Property Officer to join their property team. This Council is supportive and progressive with a large portfolio of properties.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
- Lease administration
- Manage and negotiate leases and licenses
- Communicate with tenants in council buildings
- Assist with acquisitions and disposals of council property
- Writing reports
- Assist with crown and freehold land issues
What you'll need to succeed
- You must have strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- You must have a customer-service focus and be willing to go above and beyond in order to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
- You will manage contracts and provide general property advice and will need to do so enthusiastically and as a team player
- Past employment within Local or State Government is highly advantageous
- You will need strong administration skills
- You will need a strong understanding of the principals of lease administration
