The Opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, practical trade qualified candidate to join Dexus as an Assistant Operations Manager working specifically on Tweed City Shopping Centre in Northern NSW. Dexus has a strong retail team that proactively manages sub-regional shopping centres on behalf of Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and an Australian mandate and manages investments in seven Westfield shopping centres. The Retail Team provides shopping centre management, transactions, development management and leasing to our Third Party Funds management business.

The Role: You will join our supportive, proactive and close-knit centre management team at Tweed City, maintaining relationships with the centres retailers along with your colleagues and stakeholders ensuring the centre is maintained to a high standard of working order and contractors and tradesmen are safeguarding all maintenance of our valued asset is delivered to the highest level in a manner which is safe and orderly. You will be accountable for the provision of maintenance and cleaning duties including painting, tiling and pluming as well as assisting in the coordination of tenancy fitout procedures, dismantling of promotional displays and operational expenditure budgets.

The Potential: We are looking for someone who, like the rest of the team, cares about the Asset as if it were their second home, ensuring the timely and pro-active rectification of identified faults and of course primarily that customer and tenant safety is at the forefront of all you do.

We are also interested in hearing from those who have proven experience working in a similar role, experience working for a commercial building or shopping centre as well as having a trade qualification (carpentry or electrician) is highly desirable.
