Job Purpose
 
The National Facilities Manager (retail) is responsible for delivering operational excellence within the clients Retail sites, leading a team of Senior Facility Managers (SFMs), Facility Managers (FMs) and Facility Coordinators (FCs) Directing, strategising and providing a seamless, one-touch solution for regional Managers, branch Managers, staff and customers alike that results in an operational experience consistently exceeding expectation.
 
You will be an integral part of the operational success of every retail site.
 
About the Role:
 
  • Reporting to the Operations and Shared Services Manager (OSSM), the National Facilities Manager – Retail (NFMR), is responsible for the facilities management across the retail portfolio in Australia
  • The retail portfolio consists of approximately 2600 Leases Australia wide inclusive of branches, ATM’s and residential properties.
  • Prepare, submit, manage and report on the Retail OPEX budget consisting of reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Regularly analyse actual costs looking for ways to maximize savings and reduce reactive work.
  • Consistently meet KPI’s related to the delivery of the Retail FM services.
  • Contractor Management ensuring optimum performance in delivery of the services
  • Timely review and approval of invoices for payment
  • Develop and manage a high performance team through:- Performance Management, Coaching and Mentoring of the Retail FM team
  • General team administration including management of leave, expenses, succession planning and recruitment.
  • Issue Priority 1 incident communications to the business as they occur on a 24/7 basis
  • Provide post incident reporting including root cause analysis, action plan, options for mitigation and recommendations
  • Maintain and minute regular team meetings
 
About You:
 
  • At least fifteen years’ experience in Facilities Management.
  • Technical capabilities and well-rounded understanding of FM infrastructure
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated FM Strategy, planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills.
  • Experience managing a team, with ability to lead and manage large, state based teams.
  • Experience in managing contractors delivering hard and soft services
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills and flawless attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills including demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • An ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build positive, lasting business relationships.
 
Essential
  • Graduate level Qualifications in FM or Diploma in Technical Building /FM services
  • Expertise in use of management information systems applications.
