We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Facilities Manager to join our team located in Sydney, reporting directly to the General Manager Facilities.

This is a hands on managerial role in a complex Catering Property environment. Our small property team oversee everything from major capital projects to routine maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Leading the effective life cycle of company units and equipment and associated assets including the capital replacement of infrastructure
• Leading the development and formulation of macro property maintenance plans & strategies for property services delivery
• Strategic management and control of procurement activities for energy and waste portfolio
• Managing the relationship with suppliers to deliver the operational aspects of facilities maintenance
• Driving business improvements and efficiencies to achieve budget and cost reduction targets
• Engagement, development and leadership in people performance to achieve the business strategy

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

• Strategic experience in the development and implementation of business property strategies
• Demonstrated ability to deal with a broad range of stakeholders (both internal and external parties) on complex issues coupled with ability to influence outcomes
• Exceptional understanding of business processes and extensive experience in operational business environments
• Superior leadership and managerial skills with a demonstrated experience in developing staff
• Strong understanding of best practices in managing risk and compliance outcomes
• Superior financial, communications and project / change management skills
• A customer oriented approach with an ability to question and challenge effectively whilst maintaining strong relationships
• Broad commercial skills and proven business acumen
• Tertiary Qualifications/ Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline preferred
