Role & Responsibilities

Knight FM is looking for experienced Facilities Management Professionals who can work within our CMMS and support our clients/external team members through interactions with our supplier base.  This role must be self-motivated with a focus on customer service.  Those customers will be external clients or Knight FM client based team members.  This role will be directly linked to our asset management objectives for each client. 

A range of general technical understanding and past workings with Mechanical Systems including HVAC, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Elevators, High Temperature Boilers; Fire Systems; Electrical Systems; Janitorial Services; Grounds Maintenance; Waste Management; Annual Statutory Compliance; Security Systems including CCTV, Static Guards, Remote Monitoring will assist in the key objectives of this role.

This position will work closely with our Facilities Administration Team.  The Internal Facilities Management Team should be able to perform the duties within the Administration Team as workloads require.  A key point within this position is to use past experience to vet supplier quotes before they are presented to our clients/external teams.   

This position will work out of the Port Melbourne office and report to the Senior Corporate Manager.  As a Facilities Management Professional, you will understand the FM process and can lead our employees/contractors/clients through the FM process.  This position will not require travel, but may be beneficial at times to understand our clients.  When necessary, this position can have access to a pool vehicle in the Port Melbourne office. 

Our Expectations:

  • Extensive skill, knowledge, and experience in the facilities management is required for this positions  – preferably 5 years plus experience in facility management industry or similar
  • Formal qualifications in engineering or facility management would be advantageous
  • Advanced level on Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Excellence in Customer and Personal service skills
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the client and employer
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
