Our Client:
Our client is a specialist property investor with a diversified portfolio. They are currently looking to fill an Assistant Operations Manager role within one of its key assets in Adelaide.

The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will focus on assisting in the control of day to day operational issues, primarily focusing on ensuring a safe working environment is maintained for retailers and customers. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
  • Managing ongoing working relationship with contractors and retailers
  • Contractor Management - ensuring agreed service levels maintained 
  • Maintain operational budget on a month to month basis, ensuring works are timed correctly for allocated funds
  • Coordinating repairs and maintenance
  • Risk Management
  • Manage complex CAPEX projects as assigned by Operations Manager
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the Operations Manager and Centre Manager as required in day to day, and ad hoc situations  
The client is focused on sustainability therefore you will need to avoid any form of electrical, water or any other service wastage as well as manage all related contractors. 
  
To Be Successful:
To be successful in this role you will need a minimum of two years Operations/Facilities experience in property, ideally in Shopping Centres. It is essential that you are proactive and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent technical skills and a trade background are required. . A strong understanding of compliance and contracts experience are also essential.
