An exciting new opportunity exists for a property lawyer with 3 or more years’ experience (including senior associates and special counsel) to join our growing Brisbane office. This position will be supervised by the corporate Partners, adding depth to their M&A and energy practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic record, relevant property experience, and a style that fits our high performing, supportive and team-based culture.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Undertaking property matters and advice as part of large scale commercial M&A and energy transactions
  • Managing real estate transactions with the support of the Partners
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalising legal documents for transactions
  • Assisting with legal due-diligence as it relates to property matters
  • Reviewing leases, service contracts and other related/required documentation

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have solid drafting skills and strong attention to detail
  • Have experience in the agribusiness sector (preferred but not essential)
  • Be commercially focused
  • Display a commitment toward continual learning and advancement
  • Have advanced communication skills and the ability to produce clear and logical written work
  • Be pragmatic and able to work well under pressure and amongst competing deadlines
  • Be driven and results-orientated
  • Work effectively as part of a collegiate team
