An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior career In-house General Counsel to join the legal team, reporting directly to the organisation’s Executive Legal Principal.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a Senior level career candidate to join the company’s legal team, based at the head office in Adelaide CBD. You will report directly to the Executive Legal Principal, but will enjoy an autonomous role and will be given a great deal of responsibility from the outset, being treated as a key and integral member of the legal team with responsibility for managing various aspects of the company’s day to day legal affairs.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 4+ years’ experience as a career Solicitor, gained in a mid-top tier law firm or in-house legal team of a Property, Planning and Enviroemnt;
- Extensive experience in all aspects of property law, particularly in complex leasing arrangements (commercial and retail).
- Significant commercial law experience, with an ability to draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements;
- The ability to handle legal matters from commencement to completion;
- The ability to work autonomously while still being a team player;
- Strong administrative and research skills;
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Ideally you will also have experience gained in the Planning Property industry. Although this is not an essential requirement, a genuine interest the Commercial or Property industry would be an advantage.
