The Role
With a record high pipeline of projects and bids exceeding $20b targeted for the new financial year, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing, collaborative and friendly legal team.
Primarily a front-end construction focussed role, you will be exposed to the full gamut of major project work including bids, tenders, EOIs, procurement for D&Cs, PPPs , JV and alliance contracts, as well as being responsible for project delivery. Directly reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating and delivering legal services across the business to ensure that the client’s operations have a robust legal foundation and are able to thrive.
The role gives you the chance to run a range of diverse, large scale and complex projects end to end, be involved with commercial aspects of the business and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also get to see some of Australia, as there may some travel involved in the role.
You
You will have a minimum of 8 years PAE with experience in front-end construction, infrastructure and projects at a leading law firm or similar in-house position. You will enjoy getting your hands dirty, dealing with people at all levels and working on complex and challenging projects.
You will know how to negotiate, how to lead and you’ll be driven and commercial. If you love working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; if you don’t sweat the small stuff and know how to be flexible, then this could very well be the role for you.
