PROPERTY LAWYER: FULL-TIME
OUR LAWYERS, MITTAGONG
An excellent opportunity presents itself for an experienced, driven and hard-working solicitor to manage and develop the property and commercial law division in our office.
There are existing property matters that you will be required to have carriage of. There will also be plenty of scope to develop and expand these practice areas with appropriate incentives.
Early applications are invited and will be reviewed immediately. Salary will be commensurate with experience and incentives will be subject to performance.
You will need:
- A degree or diploma in law with a current NSW practicing certificate;
- A minimum of 2 years post admission experience in property law;
- Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law;
- A proactive and strong drive to lead, manage and develop the property law area of the practice;
- Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, multi-tasking and problem solving skills;
- An ability to respectfully manage clients, including building and maintaining client relationships, and attending to client matters in a timely and professional manner;
- An ability to work independently, unsupervised and/or in a team environment when required;
- A diplomatic and cooperative attitude to clients, visitors and other staff;
- An ability to manage, prioritise and deal with large workloads when demand requires including appropriate delegation to junior staff; and
- LEAP & PEXA experience are preferred but not essential.
PARALEGAL ROLE: FULL-TIME
OUR LAWYERS, MITTAGONG
We are also looking for an experienced paralegal. The majority of your workload will be assisting with conveyancing. The role will also require you to assist in other practice areas of the office as required. You will need:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent administration skills;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- A proven ability to work under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- An ability to respectfully manage clients, including building and maintaining client relationships, and attending to client matters in a timely and professional manner;
- An ability to think laterally and have a strong problem solving capacity;
- Proficient computer skills;
- An ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;
- A great consistent attitude and commitment to the job; and
- LEAP & PEXA experience are preferred but not essential.
