There is strong presence across property, litigation and employment and a culture of cross-referral. Protection in carve outs will be negotiated in respect to what you bring, while you can reasonably expect your practice to scale through the strong relationships and networks across the private equity and stockbroking communities held by the firm.
A practice spanning corporate advisory / governance, transactions (M&A and capital raisings) and wider commercial arrangements would see you get best value from the above. Deals in the financial services, not for profits and property sectors have all featured.
A Special Counsel (or motivate Senior Associate) who is driven to continue to build their market presence without the pretence of some firms, will find those aims well supported as part of some medium-term succession plays – both in respect to the Corp/Commercial and wider firm. Recent attractions from national firms are testament to this.
Requirements: at least 8+ yrs’ PAE in Corporate / Commercial Law and at least $300k in a following. Junior Partners looking for a more collegiate environment are also encouraged to apply.
