The role

Our Sydney office is currently seeking a Senior Associate or an Associate, who is keen to progress to SA in the near future, to join the Corporate & Commercial group. This position requires a strong background in corporate transactional work.
 
This is a great opportunity to join the team at an exciting time and to be part of a growing and dynamic team.  
 
As a key member of the group, you will be working alongside two partners, both of whom have previously worked at top tier international firms as well as overseas. The role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of corporate transactions and general commercial matters. 
 
Your skills and experience
 
The opportunity will suit someone who is able to work relatively autonomously, with appropriate partner support, and who is keen to play a role in the ongoing growth and development of the team. 
 
Ideally, you will have strong technical skills and possess experience in a range of corporate transactions (both public and private) including:

• Mergers and acquisitions (both public and private)
• Fundraising, including IPOs and convertible note instruments
• Private Equity and Venture Capital
• Joint ventures, Shareholder Agreements
• Trusts and managed investment schemes
• Complex commercial agreements, including partnership agreements, fund arrangements, supply arrangements and distribution agreements
• General Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules advice

The role requires someone who is a self-starter, demonstrates excellent communication skills and drive.  You will possess excellent drafting skills, enjoy a busy work environment and a collaborative work culture.
