THE FIRM
A long established and well regarded suburban law firm. The practice focuses on commercial, property and private client advisory law. There is a strong involvement in residential property development.
THE ROLE
The GM position promises to be varied and constantly interesting.
You will be responsible for the financial and general administration functions of the firm plus its related entities.
You will have input to the strategic management of the firm.
Responsibilities will consist of:
- Financial management including BAS, payroll, super, WorkCover and other ATO obligations.
- Oversee lawyers meeting CPD requirements and reporting on CPD obligations.
- Budgets.
- HR including staff training.
- Maintenance of the firm's companies and any associated entities.
- LIV reporting.
- Marketing including website and social media.
- Staff functions and amenities.
- IT Management.
- Management of Facilities.
- Day to day operations of the practice.
YOU WILL HAVE
- Significant management, financial, HR, administrative and supervisory experience, in professional services ideally in law firms.
- Ability to manage the firm's financial, human IT, marketing and administrative resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Capacity to work as a team member and to contribute to the firm's development as a whole.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A bachelors degree in business management and or accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required (especially Word and Excel) as well as legal accounting software.
