Our client has a broad range of legal matters requiring expertise and judgment.  The commercial and property area of the practice is experiencing particularly strong growth, necessitating the appointment of an experienced lawyer to take responsibility and assist with predominantly “front end” commercial work with some property – related work.
  
The firm is based in the Eastern suburbs and maintains a presence in the CBD to allow work to be performed flexibly. Our client values a high level of professionalism and work performance, whilst providing a supportive and vibrant team culture.

Role
Responsibilities range across the spectrum of commercial and property legal work, with specific functions including drafting the following documents:
  • Shareholder Agreements
  • Sale of Business Agreements
  • Sale of Share Agreements
  • Special conditions for contracts of sale of property and leases
  • Joint Venture Agreements
  • Investment Agreements
  • Development Agreements
  • Loan Agreements and financing documentation generally
Candidate
The successful candidate will preferably have 3-4years’ experience as a legal practitioner in commercial and property law. In particular, you will have acquired an in-depth understanding of the commercial drivers impacting property development and the experience and authoritative demeanour to facilitate issues such as dispute resolution.

You will need a solid working knowledge of all matter concerning conveyancing, town planning and leasing, the astuteness to identify potential issues arising from projected transactions and the proficiency to draft bulletproof documentation that addresses these matters.

Essential personal attributes include a strong work ethic and the ability to perform effectively with autonomy in a high pressure environment while meeting client deadlines.

Remuneration is not only market competitive but also very negotiable depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
