Our Human Resources and Industrial Relations team

As a member of the Immigration Team in the Human Resources and Industrial Relations team at MinterEllison you'll be working with major multi-national, regional and local companies as well as government organisations and state-owned entities.  These clients trust us with their biggest and most complex deals that span jurisdictions.  You'll be part of a team, collaborating across practice areas and across offices and working with partners who are recognised as leaders in their fields.

Your role

A great opportunity currently exists for a full-time career paralegal to join us in our corporate immigration team.

In this role you will work closely with other members of our close-knit immigration team to help manage transactional immigration files. The work will primarily involve assisting blue-chip corporate clients and their employees with employer-sponsored visa applications, but we also assist our clients with a range of other visas.

You will receive a high level of mentoring and support from the team and the broader Human Resources & Industrial Relations practice.

What you need

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Previous migration paralegal experience, particularly corporate migration experience
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Efficient with quick and accurate turnaround times
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude and a "can do" approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
  • Strong initiative
  • A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

An understanding of Australia's visa system is also desirable but not essential.
