Your new company
This statutory government authority assists in the investigation of complex complaints within Victoria. This organisation is divided into three teams who are engaged with the various components of the investigation process. Located in the Melbourne CBD close to several public transport stops, this authority to provide independent and impartial dispute resolution services to Victorian citizens. This particular role sits within the Investigations team.

Your new role
Reporting to an executive level position in the organisation, you’ll be responsible for investigating both protected disclosure and systemic administration matters and maintain a portfolio of relationships with external stakeholders. Working within this role you will be required to work both collaboratively and also autonomously on specific cases within the broader context of the organisation’s key contemporary key objectives. In this role there will be occasions when you must assist other areas of the organisation in the complaints resolution process. This role will involve the writing of narrative style reports to reflect the information gained from the investigations process. You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity when speaking with the various stakeholders involved and be capable of working strategically towards project milestones for six to twelve month investigations. There are two roles available for the Senior Investigations Officer which are necessary due to the regular influx of disputes raised.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar position, working both collaboratively and also independently on complex investigations, strong and clear written and verbal communication skills, an approach to work which is flexible when considering multiple priorities and an appreciation of taking initiative to further developing best practice for the investigations undertaken will lead to your success in this role. You will also be comfortable dealing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to find a resolution for the disputes investigated and also maintain the reputation of excellence upheld by this authority.
