Our client is a part of a world leading consultancy firm with expertise in project management, geosciences, structural engineering and international development. They work across the mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, construction, property and government sectors in Australia, New Zealand, PNG and Asia.
  
Business growth has led to the creation of a new Senior Legal Counsel role in the legal team. The role will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the business units. You will be an integral part of multidisciplinary teams and be involved with major projects, negotiating and drafting a wide range of project related agreements, including consulting, supply teaming and procurement agreements. In addition to this you will assist in managing litigation and be involved in developing policies and training for the business.
  
The role will suit a 3-6 year commercial/projects lawyer who has been trained in a well-regarded law firm. Ideally you will have exposure to the construction industry, however commercial/contract lawyers with strong drafting and negotiating skills will also be highly regarded.
  
The role will suit a commercially aware lawyer wishing to work in a fast paced dynamic in-house environment. Strong technical skills and a proactive, practical "hands-on" approach are also essential.
  
The position offers considerable autonomy, responsibility and exposure to high quality legal work in a supportive and vibrant environment.
