The Role
We are now seeking a junior trade marks legal assistant to join our Intellectual Property group at McCullough Robertson in Brisbane. Reporting to a Partner and supporting a fantastic team including; a Trade Marks Attorney, a Lawyer and a Paralegal, your general duties will include:
- preparing precedent correspondence;
- trade mark docket entry;
- extensive billing;
- calendar management; and
- general administrative duties.
Experience
You will have 2+ years’ experience working as a legal assistants. Candidates with trade marks experience within an attorney firm or intellectual property/corporate group within a law firm will be highly regarded. You must have a high level of organisational skills and be accustomed to working in a fast paced environment. Naturally you will value working in a positive team environment and you will be a keen contributor to your team.
You must also demonstrate the following attributes:
- ability to exercise initiative;
- excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
- ability to multi-task and manage deadlines;
- excellent attention to detail;
- self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
- excellent technical skills and understanding of software applications.
