About the role:

Peppercorn Recruitment has been exclusively briefed on a new in-house role with a renewable energy company.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business as its foundation in-house legal counsel providing a broad range of legal and governance (Company Secretarial) advice to the executive and other key internal stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities will be: 

• Overseeing all legal, risk and governance issues relating to the company;
• Preparing, drafting and reviewing all commercial contracts and documents that affect the business;
• Managing external legal counsel and costs associated with that spend; and
• Providing end-to-end company secretarial duties

Skills/Experience:

To be considered for this role you will have:  

• a minimum 4 years (up to a maximum of 8 years) PAE;
• preferably front-end property, construction or commercial experience gained in a highly-regarded law firm or corporate in-house legal environment; and
• confidence to make decisions and work relatively unsupervised.

This would be a great role for an ambitious lawyer with not only an interest in the renewable energy sector but for someone keen to take on a broad-based commercial in-house role with company secretarial responsibilities.

Forecast growth for FY 18/19 is huge, and so this presents an opportunity for you to get in at ground-level and not only shape the legal function but have a broader strategic and commercial input as the business continues to develop.
