Our client is a leading Australian energy construction and services company providing the resource sector with some of the world’s most innovative project solutions and deliverables. 

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to join the Pre-Contracts & Governance Team for an initial 6-month Contract. Reporting to the Executive GM and working alongside Legal Counsel, you will provide advisory support to all divisions of the business on a wide range of commercial transactions, compliance, and other corporate related matters.

About You:

• Prior in-house legal experience within the engineering/resource sector preferred.
• 5-8 yrs experience as a Commercial lawyer within an engineering, mining and/or construction environment. 
• Previous Corporate experience in an ASX listed environment advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Commercial construction contracts.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiating and communication skills.
