The firm are currently seeking an intermediate level Litigation Legal Secretary to join them. This role will see the successful candidate supporting a dynamic duo - Partner and Senior Associate, both with very busy workloads. There will be an element of overflow in this role, whereby you will be assisting other Legal Secretaries within the practice group when time allows. The practice focuses on complex commercial issues including tax disputes, restructures, director, share and trust disputes, contract disputes and property actions. The atmosphere in this team is electric so you will you need to be someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and who is resilient to the demands of constantly working to strict deadlines.
- Diary and calendar management including coordinating meetings and travel;
- Email management;
- Drafting correspondence and court documents;
- Preparing Briefs to Counsel;
- Dictaphone typing;
- Attending to clients queries by telephone and email;
- File management;
- Prioritising a busy workload and working to strict deadlines;
- Extensive monthly billing; and
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required.
The ideal candidate for this role is an highly experienced Legal Secretary/PA with solid Litigation experience and who has 5* legal secretary/administrative skills being fast and accurate typing, excellent Microsoft Word skills and experience using legal accounting and software packages. You will need to be organised and proactive in your approach to your work. It is also important that you are confident, motivated and have the ability to work autonomously. The PA's in this team are fun, warm and down to earth so they are looking for someone who will fit in with this highly positive team culture.
