Your new role
Due to an expanding workload a Legal Claims Manager is required to join the dynamic Melbourne Professional Risks Claims and Commercial Insurance team. You will be responsible for managing litigious and non-litigious professional risk indemnity claims. Providing clear instructions and guidance to legal practitioners you will facilitate the most effective outcome for the insurance provider. Legal responsibilities will be supplemented by claim administration including cheque processing, auditing and reviews in accordance with the claims manual. Budgets will need to be set and managed for each claim. This role presents a rare opportunity to transition from private practice into an agile and dynamic in-house role at a leading insurance provider.
What you'll need to succeed
- Prior experience in Professional Indemnity claims management
- Extensive general insurance knowledge and an understanding of the current regulatory insurance environment
- The ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation
- Proven expertise in negotiating and settling complex, non-litigious claims
- Confidence in communicating with a range of stakeholders
