A fantastic opportunity to join an amazing firm! This well known firm are seeking a Senior Legal Secretary to join their Property & Construction team.

This is the second largest team of the firm. You will be joining the team as the Senior Legal Secretary to help mentor and guide junior staff. This role will be supporting a Partner (who is also the Practice group head), an Associate and a Lawyer. 

Ideally you will have experience in either Property or Construction law. This is a busy practice group, which will require you to have strong organisational skills, strong administrative skills and the ability to mentor and support. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Diary management, including scheduling of appointments, meetings and conferences for the practice team members, clients, and third parties
  • Telephone - filter incoming calls and deal with inquiries and requests
  • Draft and finalise correspondence and legal documentation
  • Prepare briefs to counsel
  • Billing - monthly billing, checking time sheet entries and monthly expenses
  • File management - ensure filing is kept up to date
  • Undertake research for legal staff as required
  • Liaising with clients and being able to deal with inquiries and requests
  • General administration duties, including, photocopying, mail, faxing, scanning and binding
  • Mentor and support the junior staff 
You will be joining a close knit team that promotes a work life balance and a happy work environment. You will have strong Microsoft Word and typing skills, be highly organised and have the ability to juggle a busy workload and varying deadlines. You will also have the ability to mentor and support junior staff.
