The Opportunity
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join our leading Corporate Recovery and Dispute Resolution team in our Brisbane office, on a permanent full time basis.
You will be part of a dynamic, close-knit team and will be responsible for the provision of advice to an impressive suite of clients on a range of litigation matters including insolvency, taxation, contracts, property, intellectual property, consumer and competition disputes and franchising disputes.
Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Provision of timely advice and conduct of litigation matters;
- Management of files;
- Being actively involved in business development and the growth of the team;
- Client relationship management;
- Preparing court documents;
- Drafting correspondence to clients and other parties;
- Acting in disputed matters; and
- Attendances at settlement conferences, mediations and Court.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 2-5 years post admission experience in commercial litigation and/or insolvency;
- Strong relationship building, client service and communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team;
- Experience in managing files and being proactive in progressing matters to resolution;
- An ability to use your initiative;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, together with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously; and
- A desire to further your career with leaders in the industry.
