The Role
Due to continued growth within our construction and infrastructure practice, we are now seeking an experienced construction lawyer to join our Sydney team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of construction law, project delivery and renewable energy.
You will be an integral part of a high performing and experienced team with extensive expertise in renewable energy, construction law and contract preparation across a wide range of industries. You will advise a diverse range of clients (Government, contractors, financiers and developers for example) and provide sound commercial advice on all aspects of drafting and negotiating of commercial and procurement contracts, documentation, and procedures and contract administration.
Experience
You will be a senior lawyer or a junior senior associate (with at least 5 years PAE) and relevant experience in projects and construction law, preferably gained in another mid to large sized law firm. You will have a passion for construction and renewable energy and a desire to build and develop your career in the area.
You will have the following skillset:
- Focused on delivering outcomes for your clients;
- Confident building strong relationships with clients and also team members;
- Work well both autonomously and as a part of our close-knit team; and
- Strong oral and written communication (including exceptional drafting skills) is a must.
Along with the above skillset you must also be prepared to mentor junior lawyers and support business development and practice group development activities.
