BTLawyers is looking for a secretarial superstar that, coupled with their extensive experience in the legal sector, is passionate about taking their career to the next level.

 

BTLawyers is a modern and innovative legal practice that provides a range of legal services in insurance litigation, business and workplace disputes, commercial, family and personal law.  Priding ourselves on the continuous improvement of the quality of our service, the firms results, systems and work environment, the firm is rapidly expanding. We are now looking for a Senior Legal Secretary to take charge of their own team while supporting BTL’s expanding network of lawyers.

 

About the role:

As a Senior Legal Secretary you will be engaging but not limited to the following tasks:

 

This role will see you:

  • Accurately and quickly transcribing dictation and creating legal documentation;
  • Liaise with clients and key stakeholders;
  • Lead and mentor your own team;
  • Coordinate staff to support a growing team of Lawyers;
  • Administrative and office management duties;
  • Readily learn new systems and technology;
  • Work with your colleagues to continually develop and implement more efficient systems of work;
  • Manipulate documents across multiple platforms;
  • Confidently work with changing technology in a paperless environment.

 

What you’ll need:

To support our fast-growing team and excel in the role, you will need the following:

  • Minimum 5 years previous legal secretarial experience;
  • Love for digital transcription;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn technology, new systems and processes;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fast and accurate typing with a solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Adobe;
  • Strong time management, organisational and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a friendly team environment;
  • Experience in insurance litigation, business and workplace disputes, commercial, family and personal law (this is not a requirement but will be looked favourably upon).
