Role Summary
A Senior role within the legal team, that will support the Lotteries and Keno business units and acts as the principal legal advisor on lotteries and keno matters across the Group.
How you will contribute
You will be accountable for, however not limited to;
- Provide effective and timely legal advice and guidance across a broad range of legal areas including regulatory and licensing, competition and general commercial law
- Proactively identify legal issues and risks and develop commercial solutions to maintain the appropriate risk balance
- Work collaboratively with the wider Lotteries and Keno team, providing coaching and mentoring to other lawyers within the team
- Build, maintain and manage relationships with external stakeholders
Our Ideal Person
Degree qualified in Law, with 5 years PQE, either in house or in private practice. Admitted as a solicitor in QLD and/or NSW and/or VIC (or taking steps to be admitted). Advanced knowledge of CCA, FCC and/or marketing and advertising law as well as demonstrated ability to provide commercially focused legal services through strong communication, negotiation, influencing and drafting skills.
