A great opportunity for a corporate/commercial lawyer to join a fast-paced and expanding manufacturing business in Sydney.
This is an ideal in-house role for a commercial lawyer looking for your first or second in-house position. A corporate/commercial lawyer looking to join a global organisation. Commercial experience is required from a suitable mid-tier, top-tier or international law firm with a minimum of 4 years post-admission experience.
You will have the ability to direct and control legal activities including:
- Commercial contracts and transactions
- Advise the local stakeholders and management on all legal matters and potential impact of current and future laws and regulations
- Evaluate the organization’s activities, policies, practices, and transactions
- Prepare materials for external counsel and manage relationships
- Act as appointed Company Secretary for the legal entities in the region
- Contract advice and support to key internal stakeholders
- Proactively communicate with the Commercial Contracts, Tenders and Projects teams
To be successful in this role you will have a strong experience within commercial contracts and corporate law and ideally corporate governance. In addition to this you will be a strong team player and have the ability to communicate and build robust relationships with various stakeholders across the business.
