In this newly created role, you will work collaboratively with our claims management team, customers and service providers to ensure strategic legal and technical decision making on psychological injury claims.
Responsibilities:
Working with our claims and client management teams, you will:
- Apply your advanced legal knowledge and critical thinking to ensure strategic and evidence-based liability decisions for psychological injury claims
- Work with stakeholders to cost effectively resolve disputes in line with dispute resolution processes
- Engage with our case managers, other internal stakeholders and our customers throughout the decision-making and dispute process
- Work with our 3rd party legal and investigation providers to ensure delivery of cost effective services
What you need to succeed:
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive workers compensation experience with the management of psychological injuries highly regarded
- Legal qualifications or equivalent practical experience. Industrial relations experience would be highly regarded
- Strong customer service skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and strategically apply legislation
