About the Role:

As a Senior Solicitor in the Criminal Law Practice Group, you will primarily be involved in providing advice, representation and/or advocacy in complex legal matters and be responsible for supervising the conduct of more junior solicitors, to ensure the provision of high quality, cost-effective and client-focussed legal services.

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of a law degree from an accredited law school or completion of the Legal Practitioners Admission Board’s Diploma in Law Course.

  • Willingness to undertake Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Willingness to travel for regional or interstate court and other commitments subject to the application of any discrimination legislation (including in respect of carer’s responsibilities).

Targeted Questions:

1. This role requires the ability to manage and develop legal staff and motivate them to achieve organisational goals and quality outcomes. Please provide an example of how you have managed and developed people in a team situation. Describe the skills you drew upon and the results you achieved.

2. Describe a matter that you have dealt with where you had to try to communicate a position, present an argument or make a presentation, where you needed to appear credible and persuasive. How did you approach the task and what skills, methods or strategies did you use?

How to apply:
