A fast growing diversified property group with a focus on residential development and funds management, this group is laying down the foundations for a strong brand within the local market. 

Due to company growth and strategy, this company is now seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team. 

Role
As an experienced Legal Counsel, you will report directly to the Group CFO and have the opportunity to work across an interesting scope of work. 

You will be a key business partner and provide legal expertise towards commercial decision making in the residential project development cycle as well as ensuring that all operations and cross-border transactions are compliant with relevant legislation. 

Your ability to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of legal agreements and issues will be key to the success of this role. Your ability to support the Residential teams in negotiating and documenting commercial agreements and outcomes across various jurisdictions will also be crucial. 

Person
To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially minded and solutions driven Property Lawyer with 3-5 years PQE as a minimum. 

You will be skilled at drafting complex documents and providing accurate advice particularly across various borders. 

Your abilities to develop strong stakeholder relationships and influence cross-functional teams and management throughout the property development process will be critical to this role.

Your ability to communicate with international teams will also be important and your professional Mandarin speaking abilities will be heavily utilised. 

You must also be admitted as a solicitor within New South Wales and have a current practising certificate.
