The Company
Our client is an award winning, cutting edge technology company with a culture that is vibrant, fast paced and exciting! It currently has an opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join its team in Sydney.
The Role
A lawyer with 2-3 years PAE in corporate/commercial law is required to serve as the company's Legal Counsel.
You will provide legal advice across the business and be the primary lawyer on all business transactions, including customer contracts, broker licenses, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
You will advise and assist with dispute resolution, internally and externally, and you will maintain a legal compliance program to ensure the business is educated on the requirements of the internal governance system.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2-3 years' corporate/commercial legal experience as a lawyer (from a mid-top tier firm) or legal counsel;
- An unrestricted NSW Law Society Practicing Certificate;
- Solid advisory and contract review skills;
- The ability to deal with corporates at the highest level, and to maintain effective working relationships;
- A commercial focus with the ability to provide practical, commercial advice and support to the business;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
