Hudson has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Officer to provide advice on matters relating to the legislative process within a key Federal Government Department.
This role holds a strong focus on partnering with key stakeholders to assist in the coordination and management of the legislation program within the Department. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be a part of small team on an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
To be successful for short listing, it is essential that you have;
- Demonstrated experience working on legislative frameworks
- The ability to prepare drafting instructions relating to the legislative process is essential
- Legal qualifications and/or legal skills gained within a Government Department
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation.
- Strong organisation skills ensuring outcomes are met with tight deadlines.
To be considered, Australian Citizenship is required. Candidates with previous experience working within large Government Departments and relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
