What's On Offer?

In this role you will provide commercial support to a market segment or number of nominated accounts with a thorough understanding of the market/customer accounts. You will be responsible for all commercial activities in that area and assist in the decision making process on customer transactions (new and ongoing). You will be part of a large and diverse legal, commercial and compliance team that enables the business to provide the IT frameworks and digital solutions for the largest names in Australia.

Key Accountabilities

• Structures and negotiates new business deals to the best commercial advantage
• Drafting contractual terms and contracts.
• Monitors and ensures the successful delivery of business in accordance with the contractual terms. 
• Guides the business in its understanding of contractual commitments and if current account activities comply
• Participate in formal dispute resolution/negotiations and providing recommendations for resolution of dispute situations.
• Shares ways and approaches with the business to maintain compliance to commercial standards and policy
• Constructs service/product descriptions for business offerings and contributes to the definition of trading terms with customers and suppliers to meet business needs
• Judges acceptability of overall risk level of deal and mitigating options
• Approval authority per BRMP and CSLC process
• Effective and enthusiastic team worker who creates positive working relationships

What We Value

• Commercial tertiary education qualification
• 5+ years' experience in a commercial and legal role (lawyer or para legal).
• IACCM accreditation desirable or to be obtained
• Able to translate impact of negotiated terms on P&L, risk to delivery etc.
• Experience of working with Deal Structures, Contract Structures (T's & C's) and Schedules.
• Good and developing legal awareness and risk management skills
• Good understanding of Pricing Structures & Methodologies
• Knowledge of Trade Practices and other sales of good legislation
• Governance knowledge on Corporations law requirements
• Knowledge associated with outsourcing and prime/system integration
