KPMG is continuing to invest in KPMG Law to ensure that we have the right people and technology to support our clients.

The Technology, Data and IP team has deep experience supporting IT & outsourcing projects, the technology and IP aspects of M&A and similar transactions, assisting with data breach response and privacy issues including GDPR and assisting clients with their commercialisation activities. 

We work alongside colleagues from across all of KPMG to deliver an integrated service to our clients. 

 

Your Opportunity

As a lawyer ready to take the next step in their career, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a firm experiencing significant growth and heavily focused on investing in its people. You will:

  • provide fully integrated transactional advice in relation a range of IT and outsourcing transactions – providing our clients with legal advice that runs alongside and integrated with the firm’s advisory teams
  • provide intellectual property structuring and commercialisation advice – providing our clients with commercial and pragmatic advice on how to manage their critical IP assets
  • support our clients with managing their data, privacy issues (including GDPR) and data breaches
  • provide legal input into consulting projects – inputting into joint venture, transformation or other operational change projects, alongside our management consulting teams

It is expected that you will be an Australian-qualified lawyer with a minimum 4 years’ PQE experience, several years of which should have been gained at a reputable firm (but applicants with other suitable experience will also be considered). Strong academic, technical, drafting and personal skills are important.
