Senior Projects/Energy Lawyer (5-10 Years PQE)

Our client is one of the largest law firms on the planet. They are looking to hire a senior major projects lawyers to join their rapidly expanding team.

Their Major Projects team is renowned for working on some of the most significant infrastructure, construction, engineering and contract mining projects in the Asia-Pacific region for public and private participants.

This team works closely with the project finance and corporate M&A team and will see you working closely with one of the most dynamic partners in the firm.

Position Description

Due to a strong and diverse pipeline of upcoming work, the Sydney office is looking for a talented projects, construction and energy lawyer to join their busy team. 

You can expect a varied and interesting role including work involving:

• major projects (including PPPs);
• construction and operation contracts;
• renewable energy projects; and
• cross-border projects and transactions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be working at an international, top tier or top tier equivalent law firm across  Australia, UK, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Middle East or South Africa.

You will have between 5-10 years PAE from a reputable major projects/construction team. Our client will consider lawyers with project finance or pure construction (front-end) backgrounds looking to broaden out their experience.

In addition, the successful candidate will have: 

• excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with legal and other professionals and clients as necessary; and 
• ambition with a desire to excel your career.
