Our client has arguably the strongest project finance practice in the Asia Pacific region and are now looking for a senior specialist to come on board to assist with future growth.

Project Finance

Acting for an enviable client list including local and international banks and numerous financial institutions, the team covers all things project and corporate finance.

The team act for a range of senior debt financiers, mezzanine debt financiers, capital market arrangers, borrowers, and sponsors and other equity participants.

The team are regularly acknowledged as leaders in their field by independent legal directories such as IFLR 1000, Australian Financial Review Best Lawyers, Chambers Global and Asia Pacific Legal 500.

Position Description

This role will see you working closely with three partners and other senior resources on project finance focused transactions.

The team has been key legal advisers on many of Australia's and the Asia Pacific region most significant projects.

You will act for a diverse client list, acting for developers and developer consortia on energy and infrastructure assets, and for lenders and borrowers on large-scale transactions. Industry exposure will include power, oil and gas, water, transport, and mining.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be working at an international, top tier or top tier equivalent law firm in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Middle East, China or New York.

Ideally you will have between 7-12 years project finance experience and keen to specialise further in this space. The partners will consider broader banking and finance lawyers looking to specialise in project finance.

In addition, you will:

have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as people skills;
have strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills; and
be looking to become a true specialist in project finance.
