Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers are a small but rapidly growing general practice firm with offices in Lilydale and Berwick. Our firm's mission is to solve client's legal problems as expeditiously as possible.
We are looking for a junior administrative assistant to support a legal assistant currently working predominantly with our Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT) team, however a rotation in the future to our personal injuries team (WorkCover, TAC, and Super TPD) may eventuate in the future depending on requirements.
The role would be based at our Lilydale office.
As a full time junior legal assistant at Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers, your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Carry out a variety of administrative tasks assigned by the instructing solicitors and/or their assistant;
- Copying and collating outgoing mail;
- Collating and preparing briefs, court documents, letters, etc;
- Preparing basic correspondence;
- Filing and other administrative support
The successful applicant will not necessarily have law office experience however general office experience would be a plus.
Above all we are looking for someone with a "can do" attitude who is willing to learn and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
